Visualizing the Wnt signal pathwayTOP-GAL RBRC 02228Visualization of the Wnt canonical signaling pathways in the TOP-GAL (RBRC02228) by X-gal staining at embryonic days 10.5. |
Wnt proteins belong to a family of secreted and lipid-modified glycoproteins that can activate intracellular signaling pathways, such as the Wnt/planar cell polarity, the Wnt/calcium and the Wnt β-catenin-or so-called Wnt canonical-signaling pathways. The Wnt canonical pathway during embryogenesis has been intensively studied. However, the role of this pathway in neonatal and adult tissues is unknown. TOP-GAL (RBRC02228) transgenic mouse is a reporter line that can visualize the Wnt canonical pathway by β-galactosidase activity in adult tissues. This transgenic mouse line was generated with ins-TOPGAL that accurately drives β-galactosidase expression under TCF/β-catenin and will provide you unique opportunities to investigate the function of Wnt canonical pathwayin vivo.
